Content & Social Strategy Lead

The Role 

We’re looking for a senior-level content builder who can own DRAFTED’s content and social strategy while still being hands-on in execution. Someone who can think strategically, move fast, and build systems from scratch in a startup environment.

You’ll shape how DRAFTED shows up across platforms, develop long-term content franchises, and create the systems that allow our storytelling to scale, while also jumping in to write, design, post, and produce when needed.

You will work directly with the CEO and collaborate across brand partners, creators, athletes, and community voices.

What You’ll Lead (in partnership with the CEO)

Content Strategy

  • Define DRAFTED’s cross-platform content strategy

  • Clarify what each channel is for and how stories travel across platforms

  • Ensure content ladders into brand, community, and business goals

Social Platform Leadership

  • Own Instagram, TikTok, newsletter, and emerging formats

  • Shape tone, voice, cadence, and visual identity

  • Ensure content feels native, timely, and culturally fluent

Franchises & Original IP

  • Develop recurring series and editorial franchises

  • Build formats that compound over time, not just one-off posts

  • Maintain consistency, quality, and cultural relevance

Hands-On Creative Execution

  • Write, edit, and shape posts, captions, scripts, and newsletters

  • Create and guide visual systems (Canva is fine, taste matters more than tools)

  • Jump into real-time content moments when culture moves

Creators & Community

  • Identify and collaborate with creators, athletes, and cultural voices

  • Lead creator partnerships from briefing through execution

  • Ensure representation, relevance, and editorial integrity

Content Systems

  • Build calendars, workflows, and lightweight production systems

  • Help DRAFTED publish consistently without losing soul

Performance + Learning

  • Use insights to refine formats and distribution

  • Understand what’s working, and evolve quickly

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in content, media, social strategy, or creative at a media brand, agency, or culturally driven company.

  • You are deeply online and deeply plugged into sports culture. You know what’s happening before it hits the mainstream, from athletes and creators to memes, moments, and movements shaping the conversation.

  • You move fast and don’t wait for perfect. You are scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable building in real time, whether that means jumping on a trend, shaping a post in the moment, or figuring it out as you go.

  • You have strong sports instincts. You understand leagues, athletes, fandom, and how sports show up in culture, especially for women and multicultural audiences.

  • You are comfortable creating. You can write, edit, design, and shape content yourself when needed, and you know how to direct others when scale is required.

  • You think in formats and franchises, not just posts. You are excited by building series, recurring IP, and content that compounds over time.

  • You are curious and proactive. You are always chasing what’s next: new creators, new formats, new platforms, new ways to tell stories.

  • You care about community and culture, not just performance metrics. You understand that trust, relevance, and resonance matter as much as reach.

DRAFTED is building a genre-defining media brand rooted in Latina sports culture. Content is the foundation of everything we do, from social feeds to live experiences to brand partnerships.

In this role, you will help define what modern fandom looks like for Latinas. Your work will shape the franchises we build, the creators we partner with, and the stories that allow the next generation to see themselves at the center of sports culture.
