Ale Salazar:Learned Baseball From Scratch

Ale Salazar didn't grow up dreaming about a career in baseball.

In fact, when the game first entered her creative world, she was still learning it herself.

While studying at Texas Tech University, a college assignment gave Salazar a reason to pick up the language, rhythms, and traditions of baseball from scratch. What could have remained another project, instead sparked something deeper: a curiosity about the people and stories living inside the sport. And she followed it.

Salazar continued developing her skills behind the camera and in the edit, finding her own perspective along the way. That willingness to step into something unfamiliar eventually carried her all the way to Major League Baseball.

Today, as a video producer with the Miami Marlins, she helps tell the stories that bring fans closer to the people wearing the uniforms. There's something special about that full-circle journey. Salazar once approached baseball as an outsider eager to understand it. Now, she gets to help others see the game through her eyes.
